Viva Chavez

Using free-hand digital illustration in Adobe Illustrator, I created a poster inspired by the film THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TELEVISED by Oliver Stone. Despite being an extremely low-budget film, I felt there were many striking visuals that I could call out to create a new, singular visual message. The passionate uprising of a country in support of their dedicated elected leader is well-documented in this film. I sought to accurately re-depict real scenes and citizens from the documentary, while holding a certain anonymity to each character. Hugo Chavez, himself, being the only truly distinguishable figure in this piece.
